Proceedings of the International Workshop "Integration of Language and Speech: Academia and Industry"
Workshop on the "Integration of Language and Speech: Academia and Industry" was held in the Moscow on November 9-11, 1995 under the auspices of the "ELSNET Goes East" project and the IMACS association. The aim of the "ELSNET Goes East" project is to extend the ELSNET activities beyond Western Europe. The Workshop was intended to contribute to this goal by providing a Pan-European forum for discussions among active researchers in the field of natural language processing. As the title of the Workshop suggests, special emphasis has been laid on bridging the gap between the groups working on written and spoken language as well as between the academic world and the industry.
The Workshop was hosted by the Institute for Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Organizing Committee was composed of:Proceedings of the Workshop have been published by the Institute for Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
